Advanced Interiors Inc. was founded in 2002. President Shawn Matz had a vision of entrepreneurship and after 13 years of experience in the floor covering industry ventured out on his own. Shawn grew up in Sioux Falls South Dakota and attended college in New York City. Upon completion he moved back to Sioux Falls and joined a tile company that was owned by a family friend. Starting out as a “helper”, he quickly climbed the ladder and was soon over seeing multiple projects. In 1994, he and his family decided to make the move to Fort Collins. He started his career in Fort Collins estimating and then managing Carpet Mart. In 1999 he was offered a position managing large commercial projects for a national flooring company. He gained invaluable experience and in 2002 made the jump to start his own business. In 2005 his wife of 15 years, Heather joined the company. We are thankful for the amazing friendships and relationships that have come from our business and look forward to continued success.
